COOKIE CUTTER MZ - FISHING SYSTEM
Fishing systems in RPGs are a wonderful addition to mini gameplay features. They can let your player find fish that can be used for cooking systems, healing items, or even fish up treasure!
- ALWAYS MAKE SURE TO BACK UP YOUR EXISTING PROJECT BEFORE INSTALLING NEW FEATURES OR PLUGINS. - 1. Open the Fishing System game file in RPG Maker MZ. - 2. Copy the following Common Events into your project's database: ID: 100 - Fishing ID: 101 - Player Fishing - 3. Copy the following Items into your project's database: ID: 1000 - Fishing Rod ID: 1001 - Small Fish ID: 1002 - Large Fish ID: 1003 - Giant Fish - 4. Reserve the following switches, variables, and regions for use by the Fishing System. You can name them to RESERVED or choose custom names to ensure you do not use them for anything else. Variables: 201, 202, 203, 204, 205 Switches: 201, 202 Region IDs: 96 - 5. Use the Region Tab to paint fishable tiles with Region 96. When the player owns a Fishing Rod and presses CONFIRM next to these tiles, they will begin to fish. - 6. Follow the comments in the project's event files to customize the Fishing System. You can add your own fishable items, and adjust the difficulty of fishing. - 7. At the start of your game, turn on Switch 201 to allow the player to fish. This can be toggled on and off throughout your game if you wish to disable or re-enable fishing.
